So during the signing on friday, Soupy gave me a high five for having their new six-inch. Also, he said my Hank tattoo was “fucking awesome!”

I had an intimate moment with Matt Arsenault during Bar Bands
I caught a drumstick from Transit
And Nate and I got stuck in South Station til 4 AM because the last commuter rail train to Worcester left before the show was over. totally worth it though.
I would love to know when The Wonder Years became “Scene”
I remember less than a year ago looking on a website and seeing someone say “The Wonder Years deserve more attention, they’re really underrated”
And now people feel like they have to say “I don’t care if they’re SCENE, I kind of like The Wonder Years”
Just because a band becomes successful DOES NOT mean they’re a scene band people. was Blink 182 “scene” when they started to get big? NO.
I’m not comparing TWY’s level of success to Blink’s, but it really upsets me that people feel like it’s uncool to like a band if they get more popular than they were at the time that they released their first 7”.
I can think of plenty of “scene” pop-punk bands. That doesn’t make them bad, but TWY are NOT in that category and deserve more respect for all that they put into their music than people abandoning them for becoming more popular.
